My main interest is quantitative measurements of metabolic activity in biological systems ranging from microbes to mammals, using high resolution mass spectrometry (MS) as primary tool. Ongoing research includes: liquid chromatography MS and imaging MS technology development; spatially resolved metabolomics and fluxomics using MS imaging; categorization and annotation of MS-based metabolomics data; disease biomarker discovery.
